+d
Everything is designed. The brand "+d" (Plus D) aims to convey that message.
The things you use every day at home or at work—have you ever thought about how they are all designed? Every "thing" has a designer behind it, and it only exists in the world because someone designed it. We wanted to communicate this, so we started "+d."
In Japan, there is a cultural tendency to value anonymity, which means that even when exceptional "things" are highlighted, the designer behind them often isn’t. On the other hand, in many parts of the world, the designer's name is frequently mentioned alongside iconic designs. We believe that Japanese designers, who are among the best in the world, deserve more recognition. Through "+d," we aim to share the excellence of design not only in Japan but around the world.
